THOMAS, launched in 1995 by the Library of Congress, brings federal legislative information to your desktop. Search bills and resolutions for the current Congress, including sponsors, links to committee or amendment information, and a full text version of the bill or resolution if/when it is enacted into law; public laws and U.S. Code; House and Senate roll calls; committee reports; and more.


The Library of Congress is the research arm of the United States Congress. The Library's mission is to make its resources available and useful to the Congress and the American people and to sustain and preserve a universal collection of knowledge and creativity for future generations. The Office of the Librarian is tasked to set policy and to direct and support programs and activities to accomplish the Library's mission.
