CINDAS Arrives at GRC!

The library’s newest electronic acquisition, CINDAS (Center for Information and Numerical Data Analysis and Synthesis), promises greatly increased research in areas such as materials properties databases for thermal, mechanical, electrical, physical and other properties of various materials including aerospace alloys.

CINDAS includes the following three databases:
  • Aerospace Structural Metals Database (ASMD)
  • Microelectronics Packaging Materials Database (MPMD)
  • Thermophysical Properties of Matter Database (TPMD)

To access the databases, go to their homepage: https://cindasdata.com/, then click on LOGIN in the upper right corner. You will be authenticated via IP, so no username/password is required.

Tutorials are available after LOGIN, or jump right into searching.

Librarians are available to assist you in your research needs. Call 3-5763 or 3-5778 to speak to a librarian, email us at: Donald.R.Reams@nasa.gov or Jaime.A.Scibelli@nasa.gov, or stop by the Science & Engineering Library in B142 for in person research assistance.
