WorldWideScience - a global science gateway

WorldWideScience.org is a new global science gateway that provides federated searching of national and international scientific databases. With this gateway, authoritative, scientific 'deep web' sources that can not be reached by Google and similar search engines can be searched with one query. Currently, 24 resources from 17 countries can be searched at WorldWideScience.org, and subsequent versions of the database will offer additional resources and advanced features. The site was developed and is maintained by The Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), an element of the Office of Science within the U.S. Department of Energy, in partnership with the British Library.
