New Enhancements to Scopus

A number of improvements and enhancements have recently been made to Scopus, an abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources.

1. Selected Sources in Scopus

Librarians can now highlight and display web results most relevant to their Scopus users in a separate tab in Scopus by picking and choosing from the list of Scirus Selected Sources, including their own.

2. Easing the search for Source Title name variations

Scopus now captures different variations of a source title in one title search, ensuring more accurate search results.

3. Improvements to export features in Scopus

Users can now perform all of the export functions on Scopus such as Email, Print, Export and creating a Bibliography, from a single page using the new "Output" button. Users can select documents for Output by type, format and quantity.

4. Find more “Related Documents” from an Abstract

Users can now find ‘related documents’ to an article directly from every Abstract + Refs page on Scopus. The Abstract + Refs page can now be viewed as a “jump off” platform for more relevant results.

5. Increasing the visibility of the Citation tracker

In response to customer feedback, we are increasing the visibility of the Citation tracker in Scopus. Your users can now generate a citation overview directly from the results page.

6. Improvements to Web and Patent Search Results

Improvements have been made to “Refine Results” for Web and Patent searches with the addition of refinement options. Users can now quickly narrow their search and manage the results list.

7. Access to RefWorks from Athens ID

A new Scopus feature allows Athens authenticated users’ seamless login to RefWorks.
